According to the officials, President Droupadi Murmu will attend the DU 99th Convocation as a chief guest. Moreover, this year more than 1.5 lakh students will be awarded degrees. The guest honor at combination will be Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Dean of Examination, DS Rawat said, “The Chief guest for our convocation will be President Droupadi Murmu. This year, a total of 1, 57,426 students will receive degrees.” Furthermore, the varsity will award the highest number of degrees in Ph.D. Courses.
Total number of degrees in undergraduate, postgraduate, medical, and law to be awarded 81,972. Besides, 75,455 students from the School of Open Learning for graduate and postgraduate courses will receive the degrees. And, around 840 degrees will be awarded to Ph.D. Scholars.

DELHI UNIVERSITY ASKS STUDENTS TO WEAR INDIAN ATTIRE WITH ANGVASTRA FOR CONVOCATION
As per the Dean of Examination, 802 Ph.D. degrees were awarded last year. This year the number rose for the Ph.D. degrees. Further, the university has replaced the old colonial gown with Angvastras. Also, this year Delhi University has requested to carry traditional attire but it is mandatory.
The venue for DU 99th Convocation Ceremony is the Multipurpose Hall of Delhi University Sports Stadium Complex. The ceremony will start sharply at 9:30 AM as per the notification on the Delhi University website.
