DU PG ADMISSIONS

The 4th cut-off of Delhi University will release today, 31st October 2020. The varsity declared that the 4th cut-off list will be issued at a different time. Admissions against the 4th cut-off will start from 2nd November 2020. Hence, it will be a 3-day admission procedure ending on 4th November 2020 in the evening. Hence, students willing to seek admissions must visit the DU portal tomorrow and check for their eligibility.

Aspiring candidates can start applying from 10 a.m. on 2nd November. However, they cannot apply for admissions to any DU college after 4th November. Fees Payment for the admissions will be accessible as an option till 6th November. Hence, all candidates have to do is secure seats if found eligible for any college. Delhi University(DU) will release a separate 4th cut-off for arts, commerce, and science. Therefore, students are advised to head towards the portal – du.ac.in. The elaborate course wise 4th cut-off list will be made available.

Who can apply in the 4th cut-off?

Candidates who have already secured seats at Delhi University can apply in the 4th cut-off. Hence, a provision to migrate and secure admissions into a different course + college combination is acceptable. Students have to check if admissions are open and they have the cut-off percentile in their Best 4 marks. ECA admissions:

All colleges under Delhi University have reserved 5 percent seats for sports quota and ECA students. There are around 1217 ECA seats reserved and 2075 sports quota seats reserved for students seeking admissions.

How much drop can be expected in the 4th cut-off?

Around 85 percent to 90 percent of seats are filled in the 3rd cut-off list. Hence, the drop in cutoff will be very marginal. For the academic year 2020-21, only 5 lists are to be issued majorly. Hence, owing to the high number of admissions, not much of a drop is predicted.

The 4th cut-off will not release at the regular timing, i.e. in the evening. Hence, candidates are expected to stay tuned and constantly check the portal. The admission procedure is made completely online amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Therefore, aspiring candidates are guided to fill in details with alertness and caution. They should only cancel present admissions if sure about the migration and eligibility.
