From 9th September, Delhi University has issued more than 9,000 digital degrees. Still, more than 1.7 lakh degrees are left to issue for graduate and undergraduate students. The varsity will issue them by December.
There are more than 750 files that the varsity has to process. DU issued 400 provisional results and declared around 70 undergraduate results. The Vice-Chancellor of DU Yogesh Tyagi was suspended on October 28.
When the new administration branch look into the matter, this inaction of the DU examination branch came to light. Yogesh Tyagi was on leave for some days due to health issues. In his place, the pro-vice-chancellor Professor PC Joshi was working. The dean of examination appointed Professor DS Rawat in December.
MALADMINISTRATION ALLEGATIONS ON DELHI UNIVERSITY VC
The Union Ministry of Education put some allegations on Tyagi of maladministration. It found a functional paralysis. There were more than 1000 files of Ph.D. students left out of since June 2019. Student’s grievances were not solved since 2019.

DS Rawat said that the administration faced much chaos in the appointments and suspension of the vice-chancellor. But, they found that many Ph.D. scholars are waiting for the examiners to assign their files from past June. The examination branch along with Joshi has cleared 750 files till now.
NOBODY REVERTED THE GRIEVANCES OF STUDENTS
Ph.D. scholars are not able to submit their thesis due to COVID-19. However, the examination branch is now seeking some other way so that students could submit their thesis online. Results of final year students were going to declare by October. But, students did not get their results and that is why they are not able to secure admissions abroad and in higher education. So, they resolved the issue.

Till now, the examination branch issued 400 provisional results. Rawat said that earlier when students used to complain in the examination branch, nobody responded to them. But now, they are replying to every mail. On the other hand, Delhi University is trying to solve the problems of students. The administration marked them absent in their open book exams. Although Delhi University committed to Delhi HC but did not issue any digital certificate.
