Students of Delhi University would begin their classes from August 10. The syllabus of four courses is yet is finalize.

The coronavirus pandemic proved to be a barrier to the new academic session of Delhi University. As the education must go on, Delhi University is going to begin its new academic session from 10th August. The new academic session will begin online this year. The varsity is still left to decide the syllabus of four courses. So, Delhi University will hold a meeting this week to discuss the syllabus of four academic sessions- Political Science, Sociology, History, and English. The varsity is left to discuss the syllabus of third and fifth-semester students of these courses.

The Delhi University is likely to hold a key meeting this week to decide the syllabus of four courses, as the online classes are about to begin from August 10. Teachers are stressed about how they would conduct online classes.

A MEETING TO DISCUSS THE SYLLABUS WOULD BE HELD EITHER ON MONDAY OR TUESDAY

Last year, the right-wing teachers said that the curriculum of these four courses was “pro-left”. The Executive Council referred to the departments about the syllabus of these four courses for the first semester. The committee that enacted the syllabus for the first semester got the revised syllabus. The Chairman of the oversight committee, Professor Maharaj Pandit said that they are going to hold the meeting either on Monday or Tuesday.

THE COMMITTEE SHALL APPROVE THE SYLLABUS BEFORE AUGUST 10

This is circulated among the deans so that an agreement would be made. The registrar is going through the matter. The Professors of English and Political Science Department reminded the committee for the response of the syllabus. A Professor of English Department requested the committee and said that they have sent the syllabus. They are seeking approval from the committee. He wished that the committee would approve the syllabus before 10th August.

THE SYLLABUS WAS SENT TO THE COMMITTEE A MONTH AGO

The Head of the Political Science Department said that they sent the syllabus for approval a month ago. A letter was sent from the University to send the syllabus for approval of the committee. The head said that this decision should be taken before August 10.

THE SYLLABUS OF REST OF THE COURSES IS FINALIZED

The syllabus for the rest of the courses is already decided. Students of the second and final year of the new academic session of Delhi University would begin their classes from August 10.
