DELHI UNIVERSITY TO FACILITATE LEARNING IN REGIONAL LANGUAGES

Delhi University undergraduate and postgraduate students will now have the advantage to study in the mother tongue. To curtail the language barrier, Delhi University has decided to translate and issue all the textbooks in various regional languages. The University has further set up a high-level committee to execute this scheme.

Prof. Balram Pani, Dean of Colleges said that UG and PG course books of physics, mathematics, biology, chemistry, and other coursebooks including Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, and other regional languages will be translated. All the heads of colleges and departments have been asked to formulate a list of the names of around 10 outstanding books on the syllabus.
