Delhi University is going to start a 6-week English communication course. This is a certificate course in English communication skill enhancement. However, only economically backward sections(EWS) and reserved categories students can apply for this course.
As English communication is one of the most required skills to excel. DU had noticed that students from EWS, reserved categories could not communicate well in English. So, this course for English communication will start. Students who are currently enrolled in any Delhi University college can apply for this course.
MORE ABOUT THE COURSE
The 6-week English communication course will be free of cost. Moreover, the selection of the applicants for the course will be on personal interaction with the applicants, an official said.
The Shyamlal College of DU will begin with this course. The college will work in collaboration with the Institute Of Eminence(IOE) DU. Moreover, when an online portal launched, there were 200 applicants within an hour.

M.K. Pandit, CEO of Institute of Eminence(IOE) Delhi University. He said that professors came up with an idea for an English communication course.
Many students come from EWS and reserved categories. They find it difficult to communicate in English due to their background. Further, he said we can see how crucial English communication is in today’s job market. Hence, often English communication becomes a key decider for getting employed.
DU COLLEGES REOPENS, PRINCIPALS OBSERVES LOW ATTENDANCE
As many students only lack behinds due to their English communication skills. To empower them we are starting this certificate course, he said. The course will include communication skills, presentation skills, vocabulary building. Moreover, with personality development, and reading habit development. The first certificate course will launch on 2nd October.
