DELHI UNIVERSITY TEACHERS WELFARE FUND (DUTWF) ASSISTS FAMILIES OF DEMISED TEACHERS

Amidst the covid-19 crisis and numerous deaths, the Delhi University Teachers Welfare Fund (DUTWF) will be assisting the families of demised teachers. Hence, the Delhi University recently reconstituted the Managing committee of DUTWF. DU Vice-Chancellor, P C Joshi constituted a special meeting on 30th April 2021 to analyze the harsh pandemic crisis.

An official letter is issued to all the heads of departments, principals, and directors of institutes. So, the letter requests information about all the teachings colleagues who lost their lives battling against covid-19. Hence, this will help the varsity reach out to their families for financial assistance. These are as per the norms of the Delhi University Teachers Welfare Fund (DUTWF).

Objectives of the Delhi University Teachers Welfare Fund (DUTWF):

In the past few weeks, the covid-19 infection is spreading by leaps and bounds. Also, many students and teachers along with their families got infected. Medical infrastructure has collapsed and is under a lot of stress. Hence, adequate precautions against the virus are the best safeguard for now.

Considering the entire situation, the Delhi University Vice-Chancellor wants to immediately activate the disbursement of financial assistance.

How will the Delhi University Teachers Welfare Fund (DUTWF) function?

The DUTWF account will be activated with the bank. Also, regular receipts of the teacher’s contributions from all departments, colleges, institutes, and centers will be restored expeditiously. However, the immediate step is to collect the information about all teachers (permanent, temporary, and adhoc) who have lost lives against covid. Hence, this information data will be placed before the managing committee of DUTWF for instant relief and reach.

The letter requesting help was drafted by the principal of SGBT Khalsa College, Jaswinder Singh. Any information regarding the demise of teachers who lost lives while in service has to be sent to twf@sgbtkhalsa.du.ac.in
