A unit of Delhi University students who had been giving an exam of DU SOL alleged on Monday. There was a mix-up in the allotment of question papers. Some of them got the questionnaire to regular students. Regardless, the DU examination branch said no such objection had been received by it so far.

In Aurobindo College and Laxmibai College, the examiners had allotted question papers made for SOL students. However, in Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, and Ram Lal Anand College, some students had given question papers meant for regular Delhi University students.

Today’s happening once again exposes the sheer mismanagement and confusion. This has become the hallmark of SOL as well as DU administrations. The administration is least bothered about the fate of lacs of students who study in SOL, the KYS group alleged in a statement.

The maximum marks for the question papers were also different. While the one for SOL dragged 30 marks, the other paper carried 40 marks, Sangeeta, a first-year BA student, said. Those who did not fetch the SOL questionnaire insisted the university compensate them or permit a re-exam.

“We don’t know what to do. Because of mismanagement and SOL administration’s continued unconcern, the students are suffering,” Apurva, another first-year BA student, said. Early this month, the SOL suddenly announced the revocation of an exam for the first-year BA as well as B.Com programs while students were writing the paper.

There is a list of mismanagement by the SOL administration. This has constantly put the future of students in danger, alleged KYS. However, University authorities denied the allegations.

One paper is for regular Delhi University students as well as the other is for SOL students. The papers had dispatched in different envelopes to each centre. And it had well communicated in the morning through WhatsApp messages, said Dean Examination DS Rawat.

We haven’t obtained any such objections from any centre except the WhatsApp message from a student political group he added to the claims of the question paper mix-up. The KYS has appealed strict measures against the SOL authorities by the DU administration.
