Neelakanta Bhanu Prakash of Delhi University won a first-ever gold medal for India in Mental Calculation World Championship at Mind Sports Olympiad (MSO).
He is 21 years old and now won the title of ‘World’s Fastest Human Calculator’. Neelakanta participated in this championship held in London on 15 August, Independence Day.

NEELAKANTA IS THE STUDENT OF ST STEPHEN’S  COLLEGE OF DELHI UNIVERSITY

This is not the first achievement of Neelakanta Bhanu Prakash. He is pursuing his graduation in Mathematics honors from St Stephen’s College of Delhi University. He holds many world records and 50 Limca records of the fastest calculator in the world.

NEELAKANTA HOLDS 4 WORLD RECORDS

He said that he holds 4 world records and 50 Limca records of the world’s fastest calculator. His brain calculates faster than a calculator. Scott Flansburg and Shakuntala Devi hold these records. It is a matter of national pride for him that he is the fastest calculator in the world now.

He further said that he has done his role to place India on the global level of mathematics.

NEELAKANTA PARTICIPATED AT MSO ALONG WITH 13 OTHER COUNTRIES

The student at Delhi University, Neelakanta won a gold medal for India at the MSO. This event is equivalent to any other sports even in the realm of physical sports. MSO held this event virtually.

This event is one of the most prestigious international competitions for games and mental skills. Participants up to 57 years of age participated in 13 different countries. Some of the countries are the UK, Germany, UAE, France, Greece, and Lebanon.

DELHI UNIVERSITY STUDENT NEELAKANTA STOOD FIRST AT MSO

Delhi University student, Neelakanta stood first in the competition followed by Lebanese contender in the second place and UAE contestant on the third. He said that the Judges of MSO were impressed by his calculation speech. They wanted him to perform more calculations to estimate his accuracy.

Neelakanta Bhanu Prakash said that he has the vision to create ‘VISION Math’ labs and reach out to children to make them start loving maths.
