As per the reports, the Delhi police have booked a Delhi University student who was allegedly captured injecting a saline solution to a group of students to whom he was giving free tuitions to boost their memory.

A second-year B.A. student at Delhi University, Sandeep who has been alleged of injecting saline into students’ body is a resident of Mandawali in East Delhi, said an official.

He further told the Delhi police that he got this idea to administer injections to children to boost their memory after watching a YouTube video, the official added.

The students who were injected saline by Sandeep are fine, an official said, asserting that the Sandeep is being questioned by the police at present and has not been formally imprisoned yet.

The matter came into light on Saturday I.e. 13th when the Delhi police received a call from a man who alleged that Sandeep was injecting children with Saline.

Sandeep further told the police team that he was into giving free tuitions to children of classes 6th to 9th.

The Delhi University student further added that he watched a video on YouTube which exhibited that the memory of students is likely to get improved if the normal saline solution is injected into their bodies, said a senior police officer.

Deepak Yadav, a Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) said that an FIR has been filed under section 336 (Act of endangering personal safety or life of others) of the Indian Panel Code and further inquiry is underway.
