St Stephen’s College, a constituent college of Delhi University has released its first cut-off for admission to UG courses. The first cutoff list itself has set the bar too high as the minimum percentage required to take admissions at St Stephens College in most of the courses is more than 99 percent. For admissions to BA (Hons.) Economics, the first cutoff strikes at 99.25%. Whereas for the B.A. program, students are required to have scored 99% for both science and commerce stream. Even for History (program), the cut-off is at 99%. The cutoffs for this year are higher than that of last year’s cutoffs. The previous year English and Economics observed the highest cutoffs striking at 98.75%.
The cutoffs released by St Stephens College are to be evaluated based on the best four subject marks obtained in class 12 board exams. The best four formula makes it mandatory to include one core subject, one language subject. While the other two subjects can be chosen based on the highest marks obtained in class 12 board exams. For every subject, the admission criteria can be slightly changed. Students are required to read the prospectus before applying for admission to UG courses. Students whose scores match the released cutoffs will have to undergo a process for evaluation of documents.
St Stephens Process for Revaluated Mark Sheets
Students whose marks have been reevaluated and are seeking admission to St. Stephens College may check the released cutoffs, including the discipline-specific riders issued on the college website. Only those students who after evaluation fulfill the cutoff criteria are qualified for interview. These students are required to download the form available on St. Stephens College website and fill in all the necessary details and sign the undertaking. Candidates are then required to e-mail the form to the email ID provided by St Stephens College corresponding to the course they have applied for.
