Due to lockdown, all the classes of DU are suspended and because of this, students completely rely on the online stuff provided on the official website of DU.
School of Open Learning( SOL) is planning to put the learning material of online classes on its website. Regular DU students can also use this e-learning material according to their course.
SOL has declared the information regarding second-semester classes for the BA program and B.com program (first-year students). It has also announced the scheduled dates and time various courses.
The classes will run in online mode and after the class ends, the material will be posted on the website for the students who missed the lecture. The material provided by SOL will be a video lecture and regular DU students can also take help from the resources provided.
After the implementation of the Choice Based Credit System, the syllabus of SOL students and regular students are now similar. The students of the School of Open Learning can take online classes timely with the assistance of the Microsoft team, however, the regular Delhi University students can take advantage only when it is uploaded on the website.
Dr. Umashankar Pandey, the special officer of SOL has said that as soon as the classes end, SOL will gradually put the video lectures on its website or you-tube.
The announced timetable for the online classes –
All the online classes for the second semester BA program students will be held from 3 pm to 5 pm. Given below are the subject with their dates.
- Economics- 2,3 and 4 May
- Education – 5 to 7 May
- History – 9 to 11 May
- Political Science – 12 to 14 May
- Hindi/English communication- 16 to 18 May
- English a/b/c language -19 May to 21 May
The online classes for B.Com program second semester will be organized in the morning from 10 am to 12noon.
- Discipline 1 – 2 to 4 May
- Discipline 2– 5 to 7 May
- English /Hindi communication- 9 to 11 May
- English a/b/c language – 12 to 14 May
