The University of Delhi in a notification released on 30th November notified that the refund of fee on account of cancellation/withdrawal of admissions will be initiated as per the details published under Delhi University Bulletin of Information. The University will initiate the refund of the fee-only after the admission process is completed.
In case a student has withdrawal his/her admission from a Delhi University college/department and taken admission into another DU college for which the fee is less than that of the former college then the balance refund will be initiated as per the rules of the college/department.
The notification released on the DU official website reads “Applicants are hereby notified that the refund of Fee on account of withdrawal/Cancellation of admission will be as notified in the Bulletin of information. In case a student is admitted to another college/department the refund of the balance fees will be done as per the College/department’s rule. The refunds will happen only after the University closes its admission process after reconciliation of the data with the bank and the finance branch of the University of Delhi.
The notification further stated that neither the registration/application fee nor the entrance test fee will be refunded in any circumstances, including if the applicant is found ineligible for the course or respective category at a large stage.
