The University of Delhi on 12th November released the guidelines for admission under the CW category. Earlier this week the University released the list of CW applicants seeking admission to Delhi University for the academic year 2020-21. Furthermore, DU has shared a link to an online form for the grievance of CW applicants.

Under Delhi University’s CW category quota, 5% of the total seats of the University are reserved for widows/children of the men and officers of the Indian armed forces including Parliamentary forces disabled or killed in action or while on duty as per University of Delhi guidelines.

DU aspirants desirous of seeking admission under the CW category can now do it from their dashboard from 12th November to 20th November. As per the guidelines issued by the University of Delhi for admission under the CW category, students are required to follow the series of steps mentioned below.

APPROXIMATELY 68,000 UNDERGRADUATE SEATS FILLED IN DU

  1. First, visit the official website of the Delhi University admission portal for UG admission. Enter your registered email ID and password to login into the portal. In case students have forgotten their password, click on the ‘Forgot Password’ to reset the password. The students will receive a code on the registered email ID and registered mobile number.
  2. After the student enters the dashboard with the registered email ID, a message will appear on the dashboard.
  3. To upload an updated/revised educational concession certificate for the CW category click on the first option.
  4. Next, students will be allowed to select a single file of a maximum size of 500 KB. Upload the file, click the undertaking, and submit the file. Students must follow these steps carefully as the University has offered it as a one time option and no further grievances will be entertained regarding wrong/no upload of the certificate.
  5. The University of Delhi has advised students to go through the UG Bulletin of Information carefully regarding the format of the certificate to avoid any omission.
  6. Now for choosing course – college preference, click on the second option. Choose your first preferred course.
  7. The applicants can now give choices to the college. It is to be noted that applicants can give preferences to the colleges they want to opt for. In case a student does not want to opt for a college, that case student is required to select “Do not wish to apply in the college”.
  8. Although the applicants can choose as many college – course combinations, students are instructed to select only those courses for which they are eligible to take admission and are interested to take admission.
  9. The courses selected by the candidate will turn green.
  10. The course – the college will be allocated centrally by the University based on the preference filled by the applicant.
