As per the Coronavirus outbreak and an attempt of social distancing, it was very difficult for the authority to decide how the examinations would be conducted. Now the authority had presented its final decision regarding the conduct of examinations for final year students.

Examination of Final Year students: It is hereby clear and notified that the examination for all undergraduate(UG)  and postgraduate courses(PG) and for the student’s registers with the School of Open Learning(SOL) along with Non-Collegiate Women Education Board(NCWEB) shall begin from 1st July 2020. The duration of the examination has and n limited to 2 hours and examinations will be conducted within three sessions in a day that includes Sunday also. The date sheet will be known to the students by the end of this month.

Both the options are open for the conduct of examination: In case it is not possible for the students due to the conditions of COVID-19  and maintaining social distancing, health and safety of the students becomes difficult, the University has thought of an alternative to conduct examinations and that is Open Book Examination(OBE). It is an application for the final year students of all the courses and streams along with the arrears of the previous semester/term/year. Students will be eligible and allowed to appear for the examinations as per their date sheet and scheduled time. Appearing for examination from seating at home or any other place shall be notified to the students as per the instructions issued by the authorities.

 

Information regarding ex-students: The ex-students of Choice Based Credit System( CBCS) who have been admitted in the year 2014 as per the three-year semester scheme along with the students of FYUP(B.Tech) shall be notified with the date sheet to appear for exams. Ex-students of annual scheme register with SOL and NCWEB shall also be instructed about their time table for appearing for the examination. If the surrounding conditions of COVID-19 is not suitable for these students also, the same alternative of appearing for Open Book Examination shall be followed by these students also along with regular students. They will attempt their examination based on their schemes and the syllabus with was given to them at the time of admission.

Refer to the official website first: The date sheet for all the under graduated students shall be available only on the official website of the university. The details of the Open Book Examinations shall also be notified to the students along with their date sheets of the respective courses. The official website of Delhi University is www.du.ac.in .

The detailed information and the datasheet for post-graduation students shall not be notified on the official website but separately by the respective department, center, and faculty. No separate information would be granted to the students by the examination board. Moreover, students should note that the information provided on the official website of Delhi University shall only be considered authentic. Before relying on any other information on social media, they should first confirm on the website of the University of Delhi.
