With less than a week left for the closure of DU’s centralised registration for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions, over 3 lakh aspirants have turned up for UG and over 1 lakh for PG courses.
The last date for completion of online registration forms for both UG and PG courses is June 7. While more men have applied for UG admissions, a larger number of women have registered for PG courses.
“3.06 lakh aspirants have registered for UG courses since May 15, when Delhi University’s centralised portal was launched.” a university official said.
The students can choose both merit and entrance-based courses on the same portal. Until Saturday, 2.12 lakh applications were received for the merit-based courses, admissions to which will be made on the basis of cutoffs released by respective colleges. The first cutoff list is expected to be released on June 19.
79,558 applications have been submitted for the entrance based courses. The entrance exams are expected to take place between June 17 and 21.
DU has received 1.36 lakh registrations from men and 1.17 lakh from women. Over 1.79 lakh applications for UG courses have been completed and paid for.
A total of 1.21 lakh registrations have been received for postgraduate courses, out of which 56,353 are from men and 64,816 from women. A total of 74,107 applications have been completed.
