The President of SFI Delhi said that this is not a new situation, the same happened when students of Indraprastha College for Women protested.

Further, she said, “The condition of women under this government is appalling. Women have to come on the street to register cases of sexual harassment as institutions fail to help them. But, there also police do more harassment then where will women go to demand justice? Do women always have to remain quiet?

Student organisations claimed, “Delhi University protest students were brutally dragged away from streets. Many students got injured and we demand immediate dismissal of the WFI chief.” Moreover, SFI stated, “The wrestlers have become fearless as they are protected by such a regime. But we will fight until we get justice.”

However, DCP Sagar Kalsi contrasts the students’ organization statements. He said, “No permission was sought, neither was any intimation tendered.
