Delhi University’s third cutoff list for DU admission 2020 is going to be released tomorrow I.e., 24th October 2020 by various Delhi University colleges. The University of Delhi will then release a compiled third cutoff list for DU admission to various UG courses. While over 70 percent of seats in DU’s top colleges have filled, DU aspirants have little hope for getting admission in the third cutoff list in 2020.
The admission process for the second cutoff list will be completed today. Aspirants were required to complete the application submission by 21st October and the fee payment would have been released by today 5 PM. The exact number of seats available after the second cutoff would be ascertained by today and thereafter the colleges will prepare the third cutoff list.
Based on the data shared by the DU colleges till 21st October, top courses like BA programme and Political Science have been picked by several students in various DU colleges. Delhi University’s Miranda House has notified that the college has offered admission to over 787 seats out of the total 1100 seats. Miranda House Principal, Bijaylaxmi Nanda said that there are very few seats left in the BA programme and English courses. She added that there might be some withdrawal later, once the results of entrance tests are announced.
Even though many DU colleges witnessed a large number of admission withdrawals, the response from the second cutoff list has more than counterbalanced the same. Venkat Kumar, Sri Venkateshwara College principal stated that the college has already surpassed the number of admissions. Delhi University’s Ramjas College has witnessed a similar trend.
As per the official figures reported by the University of Delhi, over 62,172 DU aspirants have applied under the DU admission second cutoff list. Over 7,546 applications for admission have been approved and the fee of over 15,698 students has been processed.
