After the Delhi government announcement on the reopening of Delhi University colleges, DU VC and every college principal held an online meeting on reopening.
During the meeting, principals made their point on the reopening. They talked about the present condition of the pandemic and phased manner reopening. Principals said colleges are all set to execute the reopening with needful settings.
Recently, different students union and DUSU also demanded the reopening of colleges. Students also trended the hashtag ‘ReopenDU’ on social media expressing their issues in the online classes.

WHAT OFFICIALS HAD TO SAY ABOUT REOPENING?
On Wednesday, VC also said Delhi University may reopen from next week in a phased manner. Moreover, the safety of students is a primary concern.
Dr. Hem Chand Jain, principal of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College(DDUC) after meeting stated, college is ready to reopen. He further added that the varsity will soon release a notification for the same.
He said every college of DU should set up vaccination centers for students. Students should get the option of online classes as well with offline mode. They had a conversation about the better internet and other resources for the functioning of online classes from the campus.
Surveys are being conducted by professors for the preferred mode of class. The outstation students are still advised to continue with the online classes. Further guidelines are yet to issue for reopening.
DELHI UNIVERSITY REOPENING, A REQUISITE
Almost more than 1.5 years, DU has been going through online classes. Many of the students haven`t seen their colleges yet. Students are raising their concerns about online classes.
Apart, from this many students are not able to attend classes due to valid reasons. Students bother about their studies and college life experiences. Lab works and libraries` necessities can not cover in online mode.
As the Pandemic situation in the capital is in control so, DU must reopen most efficiently now.
