Delhi University on Thursday 30th July 2020 issued a notification stating that the summer vacation for DU students has been extended to 9th August 2020. The summer vacation of Delhi University will end on 9th August and subsequently, the new academic session will begin from 10th August.
The University of Delhi is going to commence the new academic session from 10th August 2020. The classes for the new session are to begin in online mode for the 3rd, 5th, and 7th semester for undergraduate students and 3rd-semester postgraduate students.
The University of Delhi in a notification issued on 30 July 2020 stated that in continuation to the notification of revised academic calendar dated 01.06.2020 and considering the UGC revised guidelines on Examinations and Academic Calendar for the Universities in view of Covid-19 pandemic dated 06.07.2020, the Academic Session 2020-2021 of the University will commence from 10-08-2020 with the start of online classes for the III, V & VII Semester of UG courses and III semesters of PG courses subject to the prevailing pandemic or any other exigency.
The University of Delhi in it’s previous revised academic calendar notified that the new academic session for 3rd, 5th, and 7th-semester undergraduate students and 3rd-semester postgraduate students will begin from 1st August 2020. However, the commencement of the new academic session has been extended 10 days further. The latest notification issued on University’s website has been issued with the approval of the competent authority. Therefore, the notification is applicable to all the DU students.

The admission process of Delhi University is yet to begin while registrations are on. The academic session for newcomers is said to begin from 1st September as per the previously issued academic calendar.
The Delhi University’s notification regarding extension of summer vacation issued on 30th July stated that in continuation of the notification of Academic Calendar dated 01.07.2020 the Summer Vacation of the University has been extended till 09.08.2020. The online classes of Delhi University students will commence on 10th August. The University has not yet issued any notification stating the release dates for previous semester results.
