Delhi University sanctioned 110 crores for the expansion of its central library. This announcement is done at the launch of the centenary E-book collection and Digital Archive. It aims to digitise library resources and make them more comfortable for students.
As officials said that over 83,000 E-books digital archives and subject course documents from some respected publishers have been added to this collection. Further, E-books and digital archives will help students on a major level and make books very accessible.
The Chief Guest at the library expansion said “After the establishment of the E-journal, many readers dissented, but now their mindset has changed. However, students find it more comfortable because they easily obtain the required data and also convert it into printed books.”

The Vice-Chancellor (VC) allows all librarians of Delhi University to arrange a few workshops to spread information about new facilities- centenary E-book collection and digital archive.
Morover, he said “From time to time things will change because we enter into a new world where technology is more advanced. India has counted as the leading country in the world in UPI transactions. Similarly, we have made library resources more convenient to access.”
In this launch program, many reputed figures were present including the CEO of the Institute of Eminence (IOE) Rajeev Gupta, and also State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Chairperson Neeta Sehgal were there.
