The varsity is planning to start the Delhi University centre for disabilities studies soon to make education more inclusive. The information was released on Friday, 30 September during the webinar. The introduction of multiple courses such as skill enhancement, computer-related, and more will be done.
During the webinar, officer Bipin Tiwari, special duty at the Equal Opportunity Cell said, “University will introduce several courses through the beginning centre for disabilities studies. The objective of the initiative is to make education and administration extra comprehensive and more reachable.”
Further, he stated, “The centre will focus more on sign language. Also, we are planning to commence various skill enhancement programs under this endeavour.”

Webinar is bringing light to students during DU admission process
During the ongoing Delhi University admission 2022 process, the webinar is being conducted to inform and clear doubts of every aspirant. The Friday webinar was conducted to inform minority and unprivileged candidates about reservation policies. And of course about the planning of Delhi University centre for disabilities.
Moreover, the officials told in DU colours, 5 per cent of the total seat in each program is reserved for the PwBD. For Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) admission-seeking students, a separate merit list will release.
Furthermore, Mr Bipin Tiwari informed that the candidates belonging to reserved categories must have valid certificates and documents. Because admission will only be considered if these candidates have proper documents. Besides, he said a grievance redressal subcommittee will establish for minority and backward categories of students.
