All about Delhi University UG admission

The University of Delhi offers admission to undergraduate students in two ways – cut-off and DUET ( Delhi University Entrance Test ). Admission based on merit ( cut-off ) is only possible after the declaration of board exams result. However, depending upon a different course a different method of admission may vary.

The Delhi University admission process of online registration will only begin only after the lockdown. One of the officials of Delhi University told that this process will take a few days as the people in the University who work in the admission department will have to go to their offices and set up this entire process.

The Delhi University will declare the exact date of admission of undergraduate courses only after the result of class 12th board examination conducted by CBSE.

However, according to the report of HRD Minister the pending examination of CBSE boards exams will be conducted in the month of June only when the lockdown is lifted completely. If the exams will be in June month then the result will be declared by July itself. Hence it’s clear that the admission for UG courses completely dependent on the board exam results.

Admission to the Mumbai University is also postponed for UG courses due to lockdown. Mumbai University admission process is completely dependent on Maharashtra HSC board exams result. Maharashtra HSC board is done with the examination of the students the only problem is that the process of checking of paper has not been completed yet.

The educational Minister of Maharashtra said that they can probably go ahead with the checking of answers sheets in green zones, this process is not started yet.

UGC committee has recently suggested an academic calendar in which they have given an idea of postponing the academic session from July to September. The HRD Minister will take the final decision about it, they may or may not accept this proposal.

The students need not worry about delay in the admission process of universities they will soon be on track once the lockdown is eased.
