Delhi will soon open 100 specialized excellence schools at the request of the Delhi Cabinet, providing a platform for children to grow their talent and succeed in areas of their interests. According to Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, the specialization will be in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Performing and Visual Arts, Humanities, and cutting-edge 21st-century technology.

Because we are entering an age of specialization and excellence, our children must be prepared to face the challenges of the next generation. Every child is distinctive and talented, and we want to make sure that they have the chance and support they need to achieve greater success in their lives.

Sisodia stated in an announcement that specialized excellence schools will provide the right platform for our children to grow their talent and excel in areas of their specialized interests.

He also stated that these schools will be choice-based and will serve grades 9 through 12 under the 5+3+3+4 education framework developed by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. All Delhi government schools will be modernized to meet the current Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya (RPVV) and Schools of Excellence norms.

He added that the schools of specialized excellence will focus on delivering experiential learning opportunities through cutting-edge infrastructure, innovation and problem-solving centered learning and teaching, strong collaborations with colleges and business leaders, mentorship programs, and easy access to role models.
