Delhi school students both public and private participated in the ongoing 9-9-9 challenge. Arranged by the C20 Working Group on IHH- Mind, Body, Environment. In alliance with the Delhi Government’s Directorate of Education (GNCTD).
The 9-9-9 Challenge, which means “9 SURYA NAMASKARS, 9 MINS OF MEDITATION, 9 DAYS”. Began on April 18, 2023, and continued for 9 consecutive days, barring two days. It seeks to motivate thousands of schoolchildren in the national capital. It strives to make Yoga as well as meditation a role of their daily lives.
G20 is a forum comprised of 19 countries and the European Union. It operates to preach major matters related to the global economy. C20 delivers a medium for Civil Society Organizations (CSO).

WHAT IS A 9-9-9 CHALLENGE?
The 9-9-9 challenge is to rehearse 9 rounds of Surya Namaskar. 9 minutes of meditation for the world truce daily for 9 days. Then recall the effect it had on one’s life. Participants of the challenge have noted experiencing positive transitions in their life. This contributed to an atmosphere of peace within their schools and homes. The dream is to attain 1 million people around the planet by International Day of Yoga on June 21st.
