Arvind Kejriwal

Applauding this as a new “Delhi model” for success, Employment Minister Gopal Rai said over 6,000 companies have publicized on the web portal and nine lakh vacancies are still empty for applying.

At least 10 lakh jobs have been offered through a job portal opened 10 days before by the Delhi government, employment minister Gopal Rai said at a press briefing on Friday.

Rai said,  Due to the pandemic lockdown, a huge number of people met unemployment in Delhi. Companies had a scarcity of workers after many of them left Delhi in the lockdown. Contemplating this, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal undertook this job portal — the Rozgar Bazar It has built a new model to get the economy back on track and offer employment to people, he added.

The minister told that the web portal had received 22 lakh job cards since its launch and the government had created a task force to examine them.

Among the corporations that have offered jobs through the portal include the Aditya Birla Group, Reliance, Amazon, HDFC bank, and Assam Tea. About 8.60 lakh job seekers have applied for nine lakh vacancies that are available at current. The jobs that are “in demand” encompass roles for customer assistance, teaching, accountants, product delivery, and HR parts.

Rai said, Till today, nearly 10 lakh vacancies were completed by the employers which means they have collected the required number of people.

After vetting, 3.5 lakh ads were eliminated as they were found to be fake or duplicate or the owner of the posts did not have a credible explanation for the jobs posted, Rai said.

We request to everyone who needs employment to register on the website. If you know somebody in your neighborhood who is in need of work and can’t access the website, then you can help them access it through your smartphone, he added.
