The Delhi government has initiated a process to launch a mentorship program for the School students. Wherein the young professional adults will provide mentorship to Delhi’s school students. The program named ‘Desh ke Mentor’ is presently running in a pilot mode and is soon to be launched as a program of its own.
Vivek Bhardwaj, the DOE (Directorate of Education), NCT of Delhi gave an insight into the program. Under the program, an expert from a particular field will get allocated to a group of 3 to 4 students. And the expert will let the students from Delhi’s govt. know about various career fields. The same data needs to get collected through an app. Where both the students and mentors will register. And then the students can get allocated to different mentors according to their interests. So that a mentor from an appropriate field could guide the student’s career paths.

He added, For the same a consent and a NOC (Non-objection certificate) by the parents will be required. And it would also get ensured that the female students get female mentors. Whereas, the male students get male mentors. This program will help in providing the students a clear picture of their ambition. And it would help in making students more focussed and goal-oriented.
