The Delhi government has initiated a process to launch a mentorship program for the School students. Wherein the young professional adults will provide mentorship to Delhi’s school students. The program named ‘Desh ke Mentor’ is presently running in a pilot mode and is soon to be launched as a program of its own.

CAREER GUIDANCE 

 
Vivek Bhardwaj, the DOE (Directorate of Education), NCT of Delhi gave an insight into the program. Under the program, an expert from a particular field will get allocated to a group of 3 to 4 students. And the expert will let the students from Delhi’s govt. know about various career fields. The same data needs to get collected through an app. Where both the students and mentors will register. And then the students can get allocated to different mentors according to their interests. So that a mentor from an appropriate field could guide the student’s career paths.

DESH KE MENTOR

 
The motive behind the Desh ke Mentor program is to build a culture of social volunteering. So that the students can learn from the schools as well as the community itself. He added, For the same a consent and a NOC (Non-objection certificate) by the parents will be required. And it would also get ensured that the female students get female mentors. Whereas, the male students get male mentors. This program will help in providing the students a clear picture of their ambition. And it would help in making students more focussed and goal-oriented. It would also help the students to choose the right career for them.

CAREER GUIDANCE: ANALYSIS

Sanjay Chawala, Principal of GBSSS, Dilshad garden said that by giving 10 minutes in a week. The mentors can help students in developing a far more interesting career for themselves. It’s an opportunity to serve a social cause as a successful professional.
