With the huge upsurge in the covid-19 cases, the Delhi Government is going all-out warning its citizens. Hence, they have placed cinema halls, malls, markets, metros, and religious places as the super spreader zones. The resurgence of the covid virus is making the Delhi Government worry. It is likely that the second wave of the covid-19 pandemic might occur in India.

Delhi has registered 1,101 fresh covid-19 cases. Hence, this is the highest single-day count for the year 2021. Therefore, malls, metros, cinema halls, and religious places have been tagged as ‘super spreader’ areas.

Delhi Government to ban Public Holi celebration:

The Delhi Government has banned all the festival celebrations like Holi, Shab-e-Baraat, and others. Hence, no festivals will be celebrated in public places. The authorities are encouraging students to celebrate their festivals within their homes. Therefore, subdued celebrations will be witnessed.

The Police Force, law enforcement authorities, and the district managers will ensure that public celebrations and gatherings do not take place. All the public places, parks, markets, grounds, etc. Will not witness any gatherings.

Delhi government organizes random covid-19 tests at airports and railway stations:

The national capital’s airports, railway stations, and bus stands will include random covid-19 testing. Thus, travelers will be randomly tested. Hence, the Delhi Government is very precautious over the spread of the covid-19 virus and the emergence of the second wave. The Government also mentions that safety precautions should be rigorously followed in public places.

IIT DELHI HAS STARTED THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR PG AND PHD PROGRAMMES

On Tuesday, 23rd March 2021, Delhi witnessed 620 recoveries and four deaths. According to the status shared by the Health Department, the total number of covid-19 cases is 6,49,973 with 4,411 active ones and 6,34,595 recoveries.
