The biggest question hovering on every DU student is “When will DU reopen?” Deputy CM, Manish Sisodia announced on Friday that all schools and colleges in Delhi will reopen from 1st September 2021. Thus, this fanned the eagerness of DU students to know about the status of DU reopening. It appears that students are excited as they have waited for a long time. But, the principals of various DU colleges say otherwise. Thus, they have advised the students to wait for the university guidelines.

Will DU reopen from September 1?
College principals say, “DU is a central University. Thus, waiting for the UGC’s guidelines is mandatory.” Hence, the UGC’s reopening guidelines are awaited. Haritma Chopra, the principal of Maitreyi College exclaimed that they haven’t received any updates on when will DU reopen. She added that they are prepared for reopening.
Are the colleges ready to reopen?
Also, the colleges are active as teachers come to the college daily, and even some senior students have to collect provisional certificates. So, the DU colleges are taking care of all safety measures and following all protocols.
Bijayalaxmi Nanda, the principal of Miranda House highlights that the UGC guidelines are yet awaited. She also added that the college is efficiently following the Standard Operating Protocols. Thus, they have in-place sanitization, modalities of stringent checking, and more. Also, they have their own medical unit.
DU reopen: Wait for the varsity’s notification:
The state-run universities are going to reopen as per guidelines, i.e. from September 1. But, DU reopening relies on the varsity itself. The University is constantly holding meetings and will update soon. Hence, even the administration is keen and is making adjustments. Thus, this is the answer to the student’s constant question, “When will DU reopen!”
