Delhi Government is going to hold a seven-day long international education conference from Monday to confer on how to take forward schooling and learning once the schools are reopened after the coronavirus pandemic. The Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on Wednesday launched the Delhi Education Conference 2021 @DelhiEduConf which will have 22 education experts from around the globe.

Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia said that we need to plan about reopening of schools in post covid era as the vaccination is about to begin in the country. Coronavirus has developed an unusual situation for students. Therefore, schooling and learning after the reopening of schools cannot be carried in a usual way.

The conference will evaluate Delhi’s education reforms, excavate knowledge from global practices, and explore the likelihood of collaboration with other stakeholders as a way forward. The process will begin by relaxing an independent study administered by Boston Consulting Group on the procedure and accomplishments of National Capital’s education reforms over the last five years.

Author of the Cleveland’s, Lucy Crehan, a worldwide bestseller apprehending the details of five best performing education systems in the world will deliver the keynote address at the conference. Several themes include pedagogy, curriculum, governance, and other important issues relating to children’s education, teachers’ professional motivation, development, and school management.

Former Professor at Harvard Kennedy School and present professor at Oxford University, Lant Pritchett, Senior Lecturer at the University of Regensburg Germany, Sebastian Suggate, CEO of Centre for Policy Research, Yamini Aiyar, Renowned educationalist Vimala Ramachandran, and an expert in early childhood education, Vinita Kaul will be a part of the conference.
