The Delhi government has decided to celebrate the coming Teachers day, on Sunday. As Abhar Diwas and to award 122 teachers who have worked diligently. Even in these times of covid, fulfilled their duties very sincerely. Deputy CM Manish Sisodia announced on Saturday the celebration for 5th September. Apart from that 2 Award’s given to the new face of ‘DOE’ (Directorate of Education) to Raj Kumar and Suman Arora.

Along with that 2, special mention awards to Bharti Kalra and Rani Bharadwaj will be given. During the Lockdown they provided the students with tablet devices. And supported the students in various ways so that they can continue with their studies, Sisodia added.
He added that around 1,108 applications were received by the Delhi government, for its Teachers award. And, in that 122 Teachers got selected by the panel. Sisodia, who’s also in charge of the Education Portfolio, added that earlier 103 teachers got awarded but this year the number has increased.
ABHAR DIWAS AWARDS: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The eligibility criteria were also relaxed to bring the private and home tutors under the consideration for the awards. The norm for 15 years of experience was also taken into consideration and relaxed to three years, Sisodia added. The recipients will be awarded at the awards ceremony on the coming Sunday, 5. The Birth Anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, also known as Teachers day.
The Delhi govt. has also directed the state-run sports academies, schools, clubs, and individual trainers. To coach more and more students of government schools.
The individual trainers can also provide coaching to athletes. And encourage both the government and non-government institutes towards sports.

However, the ratio of students and coaches should be 50:50 so that students can learn properly. In all the government aided and non-government aided institutes the scheme must be implemented.
