The Delhi government has comprised an inquiry committee to investigate financial abnormalities in 12 funded colleges. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Friday, why did the third quarter grant not pay salaries to teaching and non-teaching employees? The committee has been ordered to examine the distribution of salaries of teaching and non-teaching staff.

The submission of utility certificates by Delhi University colleges funded by the Delhi government is an attempt to avoid scrutiny and accountability and strict action will be taken against those responsible after the investigation, he said.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that salaries have not been distributed in the colleges, so what has been done with the amount that the colleges have? What is the reason that the Utility Certificate of the Fund (Utility Certificate) has not been submitted yet? Non-submission of Utilization Certificate indicates financial irregularities. Also, it seems to try to avoid scrutiny and accountability.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Directorate of Higher Education has been ordered to constitute an inquiry committee to investigate this. In this scrutiny committee, senior accounting officers will examine how the third quarter grants and existing surplus funds have been spent by these colleges.

This investigation is very important because public money needs to be spent with transparency. If any financial irregularity is found by these colleges of the Delhi Government, strict action will be taken against those responsible.
