DU reopening was initiated for the final year students from today, i.e. September 15. Thus, elated students and teachers attended physical classes today. For today, i.e. 15th September, a few students from Delhi NCR were witnessed in the colleges. Thus, these students expressed their immense happiness of rejoining college after 1.5 long years. Also, teachers are glad to resume the in-class physical classes.
How did the first day of DU reopening undergo?
Delhi University reopened its campuses following all the covid-19 SOPs. The colleges are reopening in a phased manner and only final years can join for now. But, only a few students were seen attending classes on day 1 that too from Delhi and the NCR areas.
In the top colleges of the north campus like Miranda House and Ramjas college, roughly 20 to 25 students arrived. Thus, the students were very happy to meet their friends and teaches. One of the students said, “We have come today after 1.5 long years of lockdown.” But, the student was expecting more people to have joined after this DU reopening.
Also, teachers are gladly welcoming students. Yojit, a biology teacher at Ramjas College exclaimed his joy of restarting physical classes. Thus, he took practical classes with the students who showed up.
Covid guidelines need to be followed
All the Delhi University colleges have implanted sanitizer machines at the entrance. Also, the college guards are directed to check the temperature of every student. Hence, lots of things have changed post-pandemic.
Students’ vaccination data is recorded with their respective colleges. Thus, all students who are yet to be vaccinated will be assisted. The DU colleges will provide a facility for getting vaccinations done from the nearest centers.
