CUCET is now the official fate of all DU aspirants:

As per a communique released by DU on 21st December 2021, all UG admissions in the varsity will be made through CUCET or DUCET. Also, further details about Delhi University Common Entrance Test (DUCET) shall be released in due course of time.

The course of CUCET or DUCET:

Professor Yogesh Singh, the VC of Delhi University said that there will be two sections in the CUCET. Hence, the first one will be an aptitude test and it will be common for all students. But, the 2nd part will have many combinations and options. Hence, students will be judged in two different ways.

Until the admission season of 2021, DU admissions were completely merit-based. Hence, the scores of students in the 12th Board Exams were given importance. Thus, a merit list was released and all students who met the percentile criteria were given admissions into different DU colleges. However, many thought that admissions based on marks were unjust as there are many Boards that mark students differently.

DU CUTOFF BASED ADMISSION MAY BE DROPPED, LESS STRESS FOR ASPIRANTS?

The academic council of DU had already approved CUCET on December 10. Hence, a 9 member panel held the view that CUCET is vital to ensure substantial objectivity. Also, to avoid any controversy over the high number of students with 100 % from the Kerela Board, a new method is a must.
