COVID-19 LOCKDOWN EXTENDED FOR A WEEK IN DELHI

The National Capital is under lockdown from 20th April. The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal extended the COVID-19 lockdown for a week. Delhi CM announced today that the coronavirus pandemic is still not under cases.

Cases are increasing at such a high rate that the recovery of patients has not even reached a marginal decrease. Arvind Kejriwal for COVID-19 lockdown said that people want that lockdown in Delhi should be extended. So, the chief minister took this decision in favor of the residents.

POSITIVE RESULTS OF COVID-19 LOCKDOWN

The lockdown since 20th April led to the positivity rate of 36 percent which was not there earlier. The observers observed on Thursday that the positivity rate was highest since the pandemic reached.

CASES DURING COVID-19 LOCKDOWN

The number of COVID-19 cases has dropped by 24000 for a day. However, last week’s total dropdown was 28,000. Hospitals in the national capital have felt short of beds, ICUs, and oxygen cylinders.

OXYGEN SUPPLY IN COVID-19 LOCKDOWN

Arvind Kejriwal given COVID-19 lockdown said that although the authorities failed to provide oxygen cylinders at some places, but the success at some places predicts the normalcy of the situation in the coming days. He said that he has increased the oxygen quota from 480 to 490 tonnes. However, the requirement is 700 tonnes and they are still lying down with 330 tonnes.

PORTAL OF OXYGEN MANAGEMENT

So, the government of Delhi has started a portal for oxygen management. Through the portal, they will be able to record the supply of oxygen from hospitals and manufacturers. The government will analyze the shortage of oxygen through the portal and try to level it up and fix it accordingly.

Moreover, Arvind Kejriwal has also written a letter to the Chief Ministers of other states asking about the shortage of oxygen. He said that he will help them delivering oxygen in case of shortage.
