Covid-19 guidelines have been issued by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and Delhi University (DU) considering the rising rate of infection. Hence, important notice is issued for all staff members keeping their safety in mind.

Considering both the important institutions, JNU and DU both have exempted people with disability and pregnant women employees from work. Thus, they will only work from home now.

Special covid-19 guidelines issued by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU):

As per JNU guidelines, biometric attendance will remain suspended. Hence, college professors, Heads of Departments, and other staff members need to mark their attendance physically.

Also, all several officers have to come to attend the office on a daily basis. But, all such officers below the rank of section officer need to attend their office as per the roster. Thus, for maintaining the attendance of staff, the Head of Departments (HoDs) are required to make rosters. Hence, this will ensure that a certain number of staff attend office every day.

Office timings and other covid-19 guidelines:

During the surging no of cases, staffs need to avoid overcrowding at all costs in offices. Hence, the two slots of timing are 9 am to 5:30 pm and 10 am to 6:30 pm. Also, employees who are residing in severely contaminated areas can take work from home after the permission of the registrar.

As for meetings, video conferencing will be the means. Thus, personal meetings will only be considered unless absolutely necessary in the public interest. In Delhi University, staff members are directed not to leave the city without permission.
