The admission process for Delhi University academic session 2020-21 have been completed. Earlier, Delhi University student union parties used to placate the students taking admission in DU with the process. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the admission process was taken completely online. At the same time, it has been nearly a month since the online classes for first-year students began. As of now, there has been no rumor nor the enthusiasm about the student union elections (DUSU Election). Regarding this the officiating Vice-Chancellor of Delhi University, Professor PC Joshi said that it is not feasible to conduct elections in the present situation.
No Plans for DUSU Election
Delhi University Officiating Vice-Chancellor Professor PC Joshi said that at present there is no plan for holding DUSU election. In this situation, it is not feasible to hold elections in a physical mode. While no student union would want to administer an election in online mode. If any of the student union party demands for conducting of elections, it will be considered but for now, there are no plans for holding DUSU election.

However, the elections for DU executive council and Academic Council, the highest decision-making body in Delhi University will be held on 12th February 2021 as per the notification issued by the DU registrar. At University of Delhi, the elections for Academic Council and Executive Council are held after every two years.
