Almost eight Incidents of cheating attempts were reported from various examination centres of Delhi University during entrance examinations to MA (Political Science) and LLB courses, ncluding those held at Hindu, Kirori Mal and Hansraj colleges, and at Law Faculty on Sunday and Monday.

“There were 24 centres in Delhi where the LLB exam was held. There was an incident of impersonation and at least eight incidents of applicants trying to take in their mobile phones to the exam halls. We have complained about this to the police,” said the official from the exam department.

Krishna Kanhaiya, an applicant who sat for the political science (MA) entrance at Hindu on Monday, alleged that the invigilator had assisted a person in clicking photographs of his question paper as he was writing his roll number and other details at 7.50am, 10 minutes before the test. In a letter to the examination controller of Hindu, he claimed, “The invigilator, instead of questioning the boy, asked him to click the photos and leave quickly before he gets caught.” Principal Anju Srivastava said the college was investigating the allegations and would submit a report to DU.
