Shambhavi, second-year along with some DU students fight for women’s protection on Friday. Administration asked her to quit the college premises and not take a role in any kind of protest.
The administration allegedly terrorized them with action. Shambhavi at the forefront of rallies demanded the concession of new principal Poonam Kumria.
Shambhavi along with 200 students marched into the college premises in the afternoon. Within an hour, her parents in Bihar obtained a phone call allegedly from the IPCW admin division. Someone from the admin unit of the college called my parents. Ask them to stop me or else I will be captured asserted Shambhavi, who chooses to use her first name.

My anxious parents called me up and asked me to stop the crusade and movement instantly. The phone call went around noon and not directly warned. It happened around the time we directed a march on the college campus urging administration responsibility said Shambhavi. The college administration did not react to the calls and texts for a reaction.
In a statement, AISA criticized the college administration’s action, terming it a dastardly action, and praised Shambhavi for not “bowing down to administration.”
Comrade Shambhavi is directing the protest. The administration tried to quiet her by sending a disciplinary notice to her parents. Applauding the spirit of students of IPCW for not bending down to administration she tweeted.
The university has not taken any effort. We do not have anybody’s number. I don’t know about college. We have requested a report and we will see what can be done. I came to the college today and saw students opposing on the campus she said.
Around 200 DU students fight for women’s protection on campus, and the installation of GSCASH (gender sensitization committee against sexual harassment). They urged action against the police personnel who allegedly oppressed students imprisoned.
