Ministry of Human Resources Development asked parents to state what are their expectations from the reopening of schools. When should schools reopen according to them? The department of school education and literacy of MHRD passed a circular to parents. Parents have to give their feedback on when reopening of schools. The Union education ministry is expecting to get feedbacks from states and union territories.

The education secretaries of all states and union territories have been approached to return with the input by July 20 regarding the feedbacks of guardians on the reopening of schools.

The circular from the HRD ministry has been circulated in which he coordinated to allude to the topic with a solicitation to outfit criticism of guardians of school-going youngsters on the accompanying focuses by Monday, 20 August 2020.

Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the colleges and schools have been closed since March across the country as Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a nationwide lockdown. The HRD ministry said the government has decided to reduce the Schoolsyllabus up to 30 % for students of classes 9 to 12, because of the phenomenal circumstance in India due to the COVID-19 emergency. The courses will be legitimized to ease the burden while holding the center concepts.

On Tuesday, the education ministry said that the online classes taken by the schools should not be more than two sessions of 30-45 minutes each for classes 1 to 8 in a day. Similarly, for classes 9 to 12, the online classes should not be more than four sessions of 30-45 minutes each in a day.
