CBSE Students of classes 9th and 11th are not prepared for offline examinations. Hence, they have been requesting the conduction of online examinations this year. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the CBSE students feel that offline exams are yet unsafe.

The conductance of the CBSE Board Examination 2021 via offline mode has been confirmed. The date sheets are also out for all the 10th and 12th students. However, the fate of class 9 and 11 students is yet uncertain. Hence, the students are requesting the ministry of education for online exams.

Why did the CBSE students request for Online Exams?

Usually, the final exams for classes 9 and 11 are conducted in February and March. Hence, they wind up before the beginning of Board exams. However, this year,  there has been an unnecessary delay due to the covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown. Schools have been unable to finish their syllabus in time. Hence, the students are not prepared for the upcoming offline exams after studying via online mode.

Various students had also requested a reduction in the syllabus. Hence, it is obvious that CBSE students are unable to complete their course in online classes. Therefore, they want an online examination as it will put less pressure on them.

WHEN PRACTICAL CLASSES WILL BEGIN IN CBSE AFFILIATED SCHOOLS?

CBSE Students considers the offline exams as unsafe:

Some students also raise concerns over their safety. They believe that schools are not well equipped with all safety measures. Hence, offline exams will not be safe amidst the ongoing pandemic. Raunit Jonwal, a CBSE student, tweets to the education minister saying that they don’t want to go in danger with the offline exams and covid-19 situation.

Some students also suggest making the exams preferential. Hence, it can be conducted by both online and offline methods. So, the students can choose as per preference.
