A new free online training program on storytelling has been introduced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Referring to storytelling as a pedagogical tool, CBSE said in a release that it might provide a way to an inclusive classroom transforming our multicultural, diverse classrooms. Students in an inclusive classroom will appreciate and celebrate the diversity and they will understand each other.
The classes will be conducted from 14 June 2021. As per CBSE, storytelling may be used to integrate stories into the curriculum at all levels, and to explore the regional and cultural diversity of our country. This pedagogical tool may be used to fuel the power of imagination and creativity, to find out new storytelling methods, to create a variety of new stories.
This new free CBSE online course consists of course material, a webinar in different languages, and assessment through Google Classroom.
The webinar will also be streamed LIVE on the youtube channel of the board. The details of the course and its nuances will be shared by the experts, said CBSE in a press release. By using the link- cbsestorytellingaspedagogy.blogspot.com, students can join the webinar on 14 June 2021.
