Class 10 and Class 12 board exams 2020 exam is still pending. The decision is yet to be taken. Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE is expected to acknowledge the decision by today.
Due to this COVID-19 pandemic, the exams were postponed. CBSE will notify the Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday whether the remaining board exams will be conducted or not.
Earlier, the board announced that it will make a conclusion on the remaining exams very soon.

On Tuesday the decision will be notified to the court and accordingly an official notification will be allocated as per directions.

On May 18, the new CBSE date sheet for the pending board exams for Class 10th and Class 12th was released by HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’. CBSE Board Has decided to conduct the pending exams from July 1 to July 15.

The CBSE board has planned to take exams only for 29 main subjects as these subjects are expected for promotion and necessary for university admissions.

As a safety measure for the students, the board has decided that the pending CBSE Board exams 2020 for classes 10 and 12 will be held in the students’ schools by CBSE. The ministry is scheduling to roll out a uniform grading system for students, said a senior HRD Ministry official.

A group of parents files a case in SC regarding the conduction of CBSE board exams of class 10 and 12. They demanded to promote students on the basis of internal assessment or with the marks allocated for practical exams. Moreover, similar requests from Maharashtra, Delhi, Odisha governments have also made to the HRD Ministry. The board’s judgment will come in response to a plea filed in SC.

The parents are worried and have even said in an appeal that the students could be exposed to Covid-19 infection if they appear for exams amid an increase in the number of coronavirus cases

Due to the outbreak of coronavirus, the board exams have either postponed or cancelled by several state education boards for the current academic session. The CICSE board has already taken a decision regarding board exams.
The students of class 10 and 12 have the option to choose either to give exams or not. They have to send in writing to the board if they want to give their pending exams. If they wish to be promoted without exams then they will be marked as per their performance in pre-board exams or internal assessment.
