CBSE Board Exam

The schools have been shut down since March 16 in the entire country leading to an academic loss for students. Several state boards have been reducing the revised academic syllabus for the year 2020-21 to cope up with the loss of time. Due to COVID-19 classes are being commenced online.

The academic syllabus for classes for 9th to 12th was first revised by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). Recently on Tuesday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced its revised academic syllabus.

Till date, the state board of Goa, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Uttar, Pradesh have declared or confirmed that they will reduce the academic syllabus to ease the burden of the students.

Gujarat Board Revised Academic Syllabus

After the CBSE board revised its academic syllabus, the Gujarat government recommended it’s state board to curtail the academic syllabus.

Gujarat Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama told that the government had passed the instructions to amend and reduce the academic syllabus. He further included that the board will take suggestions from the experts to curtail the less important topics from the syllabus.

Goa Board Revised Academic Syllabus

After the CBSE AND Gujarat board, Goa board of secondary education (GBSHE) is considering to reduce the academic syllabus. The Goa headmaster’s association and the principal’s forum will be reached out to decide the new academic syllabus for class 10th and 12th.

The new academic session for the year 2020-21 in Goa was decided to commence from June but due to the coronavirus situation, it has been postponed.

UP Board Revised Academic Syllabus

As per the pending orders by the UP government, the syllabus for class 5th to 12th will be reduced by 10%. According to the reports, the new academic syllabus is said to concentrate on assignments and self-study.

The District Inspector of Schools of UP Neeraj Pandey said that as the prominent part of the academic syllabus has been shifted online, the state has been focusing on four paces.  The state is aiming to reduce the syllabus and shift the major part of the syllabus through projects, adding self-study modules, and covering the syllabus online.

Rajasthan Board Revised Academic Syllabus

RSCERT Udaipur and the board of secondary education Ajmer have been directed by the Directorate of Secondary Education to curtail the academic syllabus of the students.

Govind Singh Dotasra, the education minister of Rajasthan on Thursday through his Twitter account tweeted the decision. The official yet complete details regarding the revised syllabus are yet to be announced.

CBSE REDUCED THE SYLLABUS FOR CLASSES 9-12 BY UP TO 30%

CBSE and CICSE Revised Academic Syllabus

CICSE announced its revised syllabus on July 3 for all the core subjects. The ICSE’s statement concluded that the syllabus has been reduced keeping in mind the importance of the topics and therefore all the core topics have been preserved.

While CBSE announced its revised syllabus for classes 9th-12th on Tuesday. The CBSE’s academic syllabus has been reduced by 30% keeping in mind the prevailing situation.

The schools in the nation are shut down since March 16 while the online classes are being commenced to cope up with the academic loss. The reduced syllabus will be taught to students in online mode until the situation gets stable.
