With this new era of online classes and virtual college, DU students are missing a major chunk of their actual college life. Thus, from college classrooms to canteens, all lie vacant after the pandemic. DU students lament missing on their classroom studies, canteen’s chole bhature, bunkings, hangouts, and more.

DU Students are sad seeing their empty campuses:

Since March 2020, the Delhi University colleges bear a deserted look. Hence, it has been almost two years now. Even though the classes have officially begun on online platforms but the shine of campus life has faded. One of the students reminisces about her college days at Miranda House and how she struggled for good food. However, going back to her college brings bittersweet memories as the benches lay empty. She said that the metro stations are no more filled with college students, there is no crowd at Tom Uncle Maggi and even Sudama Tea stall.

DU Students life: An era behind the screens

All the DU students have now made themselves comfortable behind their laptops and mobile screens. Thus, listening to online lectures, attending online webinars and events are their new normal life. Hence, there are no society practices, no bargaining at canteens, and no playing in the playground.

Delhi University students are constantly protesting to reopen the varsity colleges. However, all their efforts are going in vain as the administration is not ready to listen. Also, with the upcoming new covid variant, they are even sadder. Students were under a false perception that the lockdown was a temporary thing. However, slowly it has become their new lifestyle with no hope of college reopening.
