The city’s educational department informed that Bihar schools and colleges will reopen from January 4. Hence, the final year college students and school students from classes 9th to 12th are eligible for joining in January.

Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary, Bihar, informed the media about this reopening news. Hence, this official announcement from the Bihar educational department was made on Friday, 18th December. Also, apart from schools and colleges, coaching institutions are also allowed to reopen. Mr Kumar also added, “A review meeting will be held 15 days after the reopening.” Hence, if all situation is stable, lower classes can also join.

Statement of Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on Bihar schools reopening:

The upcoming Board Examinations have led to the reopening of lots of schools and colleges in various states. However, these institutions are liable for following all the covid-19 protocols and safety measures.

Mr Pokhriyal added, ”The central ministry is always contacting the state for updates and guidelines.” Hence, all the steps taken are thoroughly checked and the state and centre are constantly in touch.

Guidelines for Bihar Schools and colleges reopening:

The department of school education and literary along with the ministry of education has already issued guidelines. Hence, the guidelines dealing with the health and safety aspect in schools are all covered. Learning and other academic activities will all be conducted following the social distancing norms. All the Bihar Schools and Colleges will be thoroughly sanitised and two face masks will be provided to each student. Classes will be conducted on alternate days for each class.

WHEN ODISHA GOVERNMENT WILL REOPEN SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES?

With the approaching Board Examination 2021, the state took this step of reopening in January. Hence, only senior students are allowed to come.
