The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will reopen from 23rd November, i.e. Monday in a phased manner. Hence, approximately after 7-8 months, the varsity planned a phased reopening. The official notice was released on BHU’s Twitter handle. Hence, it confirms reopening abiding the UGCs guidelines and all precautions. Phase 1 will allow the entry of Ph.D. students from the science stream allowing them to continue lab research works.
BHU core committee formed for guidelines implementation:
The core committee has been specifically formed to look into the purpose of guideline implementations. Hence, this committee will look into the formation, implementation, and, proper monitoring of guidelines. The situation will be periodically assessed as the decision of further re-openings rely on this. The BHU core committee will ensure safe reopening for students and faculty members. However, the SOPs would be based on the state government’s guidelines on safety measures on Covid-19 spread.
Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education, Health Ministry, and the UGC will be followed in BHU. The core committee will analyze the situation from time to time. Hence, the guidelines and covid-19 protocols will be altered as per need.
BHU allows the entry of Ph.D. students at first:
The Bananas Hindu University(BHU) will first allow the science stream final year Ph.D. student to return. Hence, the varsity understands the need of these students to visit the labs for their research work and thesis. Therefore, these final year Ph.D. students are given priority in the return. However, later re-openings will completely depend on further situations. Hence, BHU will make decisions for other departments keeping the pandemic situation in view. However, the students are guided to follow all the social distancing protocols and safety measures.
