The Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC) , is an government educational institute, established in 2011, under functioning of Delhi University. The institute is the first to introduce Innovation and Research as a Credit-based course in India.

CIC offers, both undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Science and humanities. For the undergraduate courses, four-year program of B.Tech in Information Technology and Mathematical Innovation and three-year program of B.A. (Honours) in Humanities and Social Science are available, and for the postgraduate course, M.SC in Mathematical Education is obtainable.

Delhi University’s CIC, aims at providing best of opportunities in the field of Innovation and Research and prepare the students for every changing scenario of the world. The institute use a unique concept of ‘Meta College’ and ‘Meta University’, which gives students the experience of multiple colleges during the same course.

B.TECH in Information Technology and Mathematical Innovation

This is a four-year based full-time engineering program (B.Tech), in Information Technology and Mathematical Innovation.

The course require minimum of 60% marks in best four subjects, as an eligibility. Admission is based on the Entrance Exam, conducted by the institute and the number of seats available to the course is 40. Students interested, can apply to the course on DU Online Portal, under the ‘application for undergraduate entrance-based
programs’.

B.A. (Honours) in Humanities and Social Sciences

This is a three-year degree, based under the program of ‘Meta College’ and ‘Meta University’. The students are free to choose the college of their preference, according to the course opted. Only the students of first and sixth semesters are expected to attend the classes at CIC. St. Stephen College is not a part of this program.

Students who have secured 60% marks in best four subjects, which should compulsorily include ‘Modern Indian Language’ or ‘English’ are eligible. The admission to the course is based on the Entrance Exam and the seats available is 40. The syllabus of the entrance exam includes subjects like History, Geography, Political Science, General Science, Mathematics and Current Affairs.

M.SC in Mathematics Education

This is an interdisciplinary course of two-years. The institute aims to facilitate learning and to train students on how to use media and technology to teach mathematics and for this, the institute is actively working with JMI’s and AJK Mass Communication Research Centre. The course is based on 60% practical and 40% theory.
