Arogya Setu App would not be mandatory for all metro commuters. The sources were revealed prior to the finalization of the standard operating procedure. The Metro services will restart from 7 September onwards.
On Tuesday, the housing and urban affairs ministry communicated with the managing director of all the Railway Corporations. While some rules will remain the same, like six feet gap, mandatory masks, longer halting at metro stations, proper sanitization, etc.
According to reports, these are the new guidelines that all the passengers have to follow after the services resume.
The government is likely to confirm new guidelines to start again Metro services under the Unlock 4 today. A meeting of the Disaster Management Authority will take place today. They will talk about the guidelines for Unlock 4 and the resumption of Delhi Metro rail services.
Also, the Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot disclosed a list of metro stations where travel services are being restored. And all the preparations are about to complete.

Amid the coronavirus outbreak, tokens won’t be allowed for travelling in metro trains. The Centre has schemed on executing a contactless ticketing system using only metro cards. For now, they will not get tickets or tokens. Due to a high risk of virus scattering through it. Also, the authorities can make the Arogya Setu app, an optional measure.
Moreover, the authority will start a system of buying smartcards at every station. Smart Card will be a mandatory thing. PTI had noted Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot as saying. Today, the guidelines may release with all the SOPs.
