Under DU first cutoff for the session 2020- 21, over 58% of students have already paid the fees. The DU official notified about the admission numbers on Friday.  What is the strategy after first cutoff admission over

The second cut off will release soon with a  slight fluctuation in the Cut off lists of the colleges.

Session 2020-21 encountered the highest number of payments under the first cutoff.  The previous year, the admission was close to 24000 aspirants in the initial cut off. While this year, DU has registered 34814 students who paid the fees.

The fees portal is open till midnight.

 After First Cutoff plan – what principals said? 

The principal of Kamla Nehru College, Dr.  Kalpana Bhakuni informed that they have closed the admissions for almost all the courses except Hindi and Sanskrit.  Also, Honors’ courses like Mathematics, Philosophy, and Journalism are on the verge of being closed. Even the popular combinations for the BA program are almost full. The college committee will hold a meeting on Saturday, to design the cut-off, said Bhakuni.

Rajdhani College will also have a slight change ranging from 0.25 to 1% in the cut-offs.

However, The principal, Rajesh Giri said that courses like English (hon), History (hon),  Political Science (hon), and Maths (Hon) will not show in the next cut off list.

Lady Shree Ram College will not open the admissions for Mathematics Honors and around 50% of combinations for the BA program are already filled up.  And, there will be a marginal change in the following cut-offs.

Due to the declaration of NEET Results,  science courses like Zoology and Botany might see withdrawals, said Aryabhatta College Principal. In this college,  for economics hon. they have over admitted the students. Also, they will have a marginal cut off changes.

Anju Srivastava, the principal of Hindu  College explained that a drop in the cutoff and the intake go hand in hand.  Even the slightest change can cause many admission. Therefore, the committee has to be very careful regarding the next cut offs.
